About the Role

The Data Platform team is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and daily operation of enterprise database platforms that support critical business services. This role focuses on ensuring the high availability, performance, and resilience of database environments while driving continuous improvement through the adoption of modern technologies. You will play a vital part in maintaining a robust data infrastructure that meets the evolving needs of a large-scale telecommunications environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain relational database platforms including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
• Execute essential database administration tasks such as backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Perform proactive performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and query optimization to ensure system stability.
• Implement security controls and user management protocols to protect sensitive enterprise data.
• Utilize scripting and automation tools like PowerShell or Bash to streamline operational workflows.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of operational procedures and system configurations.
• Support the integration and management of modern database technologies, including NoSQL and cloud-based solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including advanced querying, joins, subqueries, and aggregations.
• Deep understanding of database design principles, normalization, and schema development.
• Practical knowledge of data modeling, ER diagrams, and relational modeling techniques.
• Solid grasp of database transactions and ACID properties to ensure data integrity.
• Experience with indexing strategies and query optimization for high-performance environments.
• Proven ability to handle incident resolution and basic troubleshooting in a production setting.
