About the Role
The HSE Supervisor will oversee the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment plans across all operational sites in Shuaiba. This role requires a proactive approach to risk management, ensuring that all activities comply with industry standards and local regulations. You will be the key point of contact for safety matters, coordinating training and incident investigations to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce the HSE plan across all projects, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions for site personnel, tailoring content to specific roles and risk profiles.
- Perform comprehensive risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Lead incident investigations, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate safety considerations into project design and execution.
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation, including audits, inspections, and training records.
- Act as the primary liaison with external regulators and audit bodies during inspections and reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HSE roles within the oil and gas sector.
- Strong knowledge of local Kuwaiti safety regulations and international standards such as ISO 45001.
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and develop effective control measures.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering training and presenting findings to senior management.
- Experience with incident investigation tools and root cause analysis techniques.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
