About the Role

As a Maintenance Team Leader at Hilton Kuwait, you will oversee the Engineering Team to ensure all hotel operations are maintained to the highest standards of safety, security, and compliance. Your role involves managing energy conservation initiatives, developing engineering protocols, and leading daily maintenance activities to support guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. You will also play a key role in budget management, compliance adherence, and fostering a skilled, motivated engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Engineering Team in day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations, including service standards, equipment schedules, and work schedules.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to prioritize maintenance activities for guest rooms and public areas.
• Develop systems and procedures to ensure health, safety, and compliance for guests, team members, and property.
• Prepare capital and repairs & maintenance budgets while communicating with government agencies for regulatory compliance.
• Conduct daily property inspections, diagnose mechanical equipment issues, and maintain fixtures to prevent unsafe conditions.
• Oversee emergency programs, energy conservation initiatives, and renovation projects with cost-effective contractor coordination.
• Monitor KPIs for the engineering department, implement corrective actions, and manage team activities like recruitment, training, and motivation.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering principles and practices.
• Degree in Engineering or a related field with relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency in budgeting, basic accounting, and financial reporting.
• Strong communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
• Commitment to exceptional customer service and adherence to safety regulations.
• Proven leadership experience in team development, performance management, and conflict resolution.
