About the Role
Egis Group is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems to join its operations in Kuwait City. In this role, you will contribute to the design, coordination, and supervision of mechanical and MEP systems across a range of building and infrastructure projects. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that meet international standards and local regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review mechanical and MEP designs, drawings, and specifications for commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects
- Perform detailed engineering calculations including load analysis, pipe sizing, duct sizing, and equipment selection
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants to ensure integrated design solutions
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and technical documents from contractors and suppliers
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify compliance with design intent and applicable codes
- Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and cost estimation activities
- Ensure all deliverables comply with relevant international standards, local Kuwaiti codes, and client requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP engineering within consulting or contracting firms
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and electrical systems design
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and relevant calculation tools
- Familiarity with international codes and standards including ASHRAE, ASME, and NFPA
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to coordinate across disciplines
- Valid Kuwaiti driving license preferred
