Network Security Specialist in Kuwait

About the Role

This position involves safeguarding network infrastructure by monitoring security threats, managing policies, and maintaining security systems. The specialist will ensure rapid resolution of network and security issues while administering firewalls, IPS appliances, and multivendor solutions. Daily reporting and documentation of system changes are also key responsibilities. The role requires proactive troubleshooting across all OSI layers and technologies to maintain network efficiency and compliance with company protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security incidents to identify and resolve them swiftly.
• Manage and enforce security policies to patch vulnerabilities promptly.
• Administer and update firewalls, IPS appliances, and security tools.
• Provide on-site maintenance and technical support for network services.
• Troubleshoot network issues across multiple technologies and OSI layers.
• Ensure continuous operation of network services and rapid response to alerts.
• Document all system amendments and implement requested configurations.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in network security and administration.
• Expertise in configuring multivendor security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.).
• Strong understanding of OSI model and network troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to manage security policies and respond to alerts in real-time.
• Proficiency in documentation and reporting network/security status daily.
• Experience with DDoS protection, bandwidth management, and access control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for complex network issues.
• Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards.
