Procurement & Orders Officer in Kuwait

About the Role

We are seeking a Procurement & Orders Officer to lead the launch and development of a Chinese luxury automotive brand in Kuwait. This critical role will be responsible for managing all purchasing activities and procurement processes to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of vehicles and spare parts. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive procurement and a strong understanding of supply chain management in a dynamic market environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all purchasing activities and procurement processes for the automotive brand, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards
• Handle orders with external principals and overseas agencies, negotiating favorable terms and conditions
• Follow up on vehicle orders, spare parts, and related requirements, ensuring timely processing and delivery
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any issues that may arise
• Maintain accurate procurement records and reports, providing regular updates to management
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations
• Identify and evaluate new suppliers and products to enhance the procurement portfolio

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the automotive industry
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management principles
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in English and Arabic is highly desirable for this role in Kuwait
