About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join our dynamic team in the construction and building industry in Kuwait. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our projects are delivered on time and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality. As a Quantity Surveyor Engineer, you will be at the forefront of managing project costs, conducting feasibility studies, and collaborating closely with architects and engineers to bring innovative designs to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough cost analysis and feasibility studies for upcoming projects using industry-standard software
- Prepare detailed bills of quantities and cost estimates, collaborating with design teams for comprehensive financial assessments
- Monitor project expenditures and implement effective cost control measures to prevent overruns
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure favorable terms
- Provide regular reports on project financial performance using metrics and data analytics
- Review project specifications to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance value engineering
- Assist in resolving disputes and claims related to project costs through negotiation and industry knowledge
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction project cost management
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and project management tools
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards in Kuwait
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills with proven track record in budget management
- Ability to work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and project teams
