About the Role

This position involves ensuring the safety and security of Holiday Inn's premises in Kuwait through proactive monitoring, access control, and emergency response. The Security Officer will conduct regular patrols, monitor CCTV systems, and verify identification to maintain a secure environment. Responsibilities include assisting guests, documenting incidents, and coordinating with other departments to address security concerns. The role requires physical presence in key areas and adherence to strict safety protocols during all shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of hotel areas including public spaces, back-of-house, and perimeter as scheduled.
• Monitor CCTV screens continuously and report any suspicious activity or irregularities immediately.
• Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification of colleagues and visitors.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and disturbances while maintaining composure under pressure.
• Assist guests with inquiries and provide support in a professional manner.
• Perform routine checks on fire safety equipment and ensure compliance with hotel policies.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, and Engineering for security-related matters.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, loss prevention, or a similar role, preferably within a hotel environment.
• Basic knowledge of safety, security, and fire procedures.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
• Physical fitness to stand and patrol for extended periods.
• Ability to remain calm and effective during emergencies.
• Strong integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with key and access control systems is beneficial.
