About the Role
We seek a Senior Maintenance Engineer in Kuwait to steward property assets through disciplined planning, rigorous inspections, and long-term strategy. You will translate asset inventories into reliable operations, protect service continuity, and elevate tenant experience by balancing cost-effectiveness with uncompromising quality. Leading teams and contractors, you will embed safety, compliance, and efficiency into every workflow across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans and long-term strategies for all property assets, informed by detailed inspections and inventories.
- Review, negotiate, and manage service contracts and quotations to secure best value while ensuring quality delivery and continuity.
- Assign clear roles, allocate resources, and manage the maintenance team to provide direction, oversight, and performance clarity.
- Supervise contractors in strict compliance with operations and maintenance contracts, safety protocols, and company policies to maintain uninterrupted operations.
- Monitor work quality, conduct formal monthly contractor evaluations, and drive training, coaching, and process improvements to enhance team capability.
- Control the maintenance budget, optimize costs, and manage inventory to support efficient asset stewardship.
- Oversee tenant fit-out MEP works, verify utility connections, review design drawings for compliance, and execute regular and final inspections with detailed reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in strategic maintenance planning and asset management for large property portfolios.
- Strong competence in contract negotiation, financial oversight, and budget control within maintenance environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop maintenance teams and supervise contractors across multiple sites.
- Solid knowledge of MEP systems, tenant fit-out processes, utility connections, and design compliance verification.
- Experience enforcing safety and fire prevention regulations while promoting safe working habits among staff, contractors, visitors, and tenants.
- Capability to resolve maintenance requests promptly, improve operational efficiency, and deliver detailed inspection reports.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications and familiarity with Kuwait property operations and regulatory expectations.
