About the Role

We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Kuwait City. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will help maintain the high standards of our hotel’s banquet and restaurant operations while supporting a diverse, inclusive kitchen environment.

  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning, preparing, and presenting a wide range of menu items for banquets, à la carte service, and special events.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of line cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to recipes.
  • Monitor inventory, control food costs, and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Enforce strict kitchen hygiene, safety, and sanitation protocols in line with local regulations and international best practices.
  • Participate in menu development, costing, and tasting sessions to keep the offering fresh and competitive.
  • Utilise the restaurant’s recipe maintenance system and basic MS Office skills for daily reporting and documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Sous Chef or 4 years as a Chef de Partie in a reputable hotel or large‑scale restaurant.
  • Proven banquet experience, preferably within luxury international brands.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene, occupational health and safety standards.
  • Ability to lead, train and motivate kitchen staff in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with recipe management software.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required by service demands.
