About the Role
We seek a disciplined Static Equipment Design Engineer to lead mechanical design calculations and documentation for refinery projects in Al Ahmadi Kuwait. You will develop datasheets, validate configurations, and ensure strict compliance with international standards while supporting safe, reliable plant operations. By partnering with project teams, you will translate process needs into robust static equipment solutions that balance performance, constructability, and lifecycle integrity across complex refinery assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed mechanical design calculations for pressure vessels, tanks, and allied static equipment under refinery conditions.
- Develop comprehensive datasheets, specifications, and design packages that align with project schedules and client expectations.
- Verify compliance with applicable international standards, codes, and best practices to ensure regulatory and technical acceptance.
- Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design interfaces, clarify requirements, and accelerate project delivery.
- Support procurement and construction activities by clarifying design intent, reviewing vendor documents, and addressing site queries.
- Conduct design reviews and risk assessments to identify and mitigate mechanical integrity issues early in the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate design records, revision control, and technical documentation to support commissioning and handover.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related technical discipline with strong static equipment focus.
- Demonstrated experience performing mechanical design calculations for pressure vessels, storage tanks, and refinery static equipment.
- Solid knowledge of applicable international standards, codes, and industry practices relevant to static equipment design.
- Proficiency in developing datasheets, specifications, and design deliverables with attention to detail and clarity.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders in multi-disciplinary environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address design challenges and optimize equipment performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical positions and support project execution.
