About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Supervisor Refractory to oversee the maintenance and protection of high‑temperature equipment in the oil and gas sector. The role involves coordinating refractory repairs, managing a skilled team, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and schedule refractory repair and replacement activities on plant equipment.
- Inspect and assess refractory conditions, preparing detailed work plans.
- Supervise a team of refractory technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and procurement to secure materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and labor hours.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance refractory performance and reduce downtime.
- Report progress and issues to senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in refractory supervision within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of refractory materials, installation techniques, and inspection methods.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Good communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a refinery or petrochemical setting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
