About the Role
This Supply Planner position at Ali Abdulwahab Al Mutawa in Kuwait focuses on optimizing inventory management through accurate demand forecasting and cross-functional collaboration. The role involves aligning supply chain operations with business objectives to reduce out-of-stock scenarios and excess stock. The planner will work closely with sales, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment. A key responsibility is preparing demand review preparations (DRP) at the SKU level to validate forecasts against company targets. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations for management.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to refine demand forecasts and minimize inventory discrepancies
- Lead the generation of demand forecasts and analyze gaps between forecasts and company targets
- Synchronize demand planning with order replenishment cycles and inventory levels
- Evaluate forecast accuracy, identify root causes of gaps, and present findings to management
- Prepare demand review preparations (DRP) through comparative analysis of sales forecasts at the SKU level
- Coordinate with the MS&P team to integrate updates from strategic sales plans
- Ensure forecasts align with inventory management practices to prevent stockouts or overstocking
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain planning or demand forecasting within a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Proficiency in ERP systems and forecasting tools such as SAP or Oracle
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
- Understanding of inventory management principles and OOS mitigation strategies
- Excellent communication skills to present recommendations to cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail in tracking and validating forecast accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
