About the Role
Wireline Operators play a critical role in the oil and gas industry, performing essential well intervention services to maintain and enhance production. Based in Al Ahmadi, Kuwait, this position requires technical expertise and strict adherence to safety protocols while operating specialized wireline equipment at wellsites. The Wireline Operator is responsible for ensuring efficient operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance in accordance with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate winch units and other wireline equipment safely and efficiently at wellsites, including running and pulling tools in wellbores
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on wireline tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and company policies, conducting risk assessments and implementing appropriate controls
- Monitor well conditions during operations and report any anomalies or issues to the field supervisor promptly
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate wellsite activities, including rig-up and rig-down procedures
- Maintain accurate records of operations, equipment status, and safety incidents for reporting and analysis purposes
- Participate in emergency response drills and assist in resolving operational challenges as they arise
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent technical certification with focus on mechanical or technical fields
- Minimum of 2-3 years of previous experience in wireline operations or related oilfield services
- Valid certifications in well control, H2S safety, and other relevant industry safety procedures
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills with ability to diagnose equipment issues
- Ability to work in challenging environments and follow strict safety protocols under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team with diverse cultural backgrounds
- Basic computer literacy for operating monitoring systems and maintaining digital records
