About the Role
This position involves leading end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with standards. The manager will oversee month and year-end closings, reconcile ledgers, and prepare financial reports for senior leadership. Key responsibilities include budget development, cash flow optimization, and audit coordination. The role requires strong analytical skills to identify variances and improve reporting systems. Compliance with VAT, Zakat, and international standards is critical to maintaining organizational governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly and annual account closings across entities, ensuring accurate financial records.
- Reconcile general ledger, bank accounts, and intercompany balances to maintain data integrity.
- Prepare management reports, financial statements, and dashboards for executive review.
- Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash flow projections with departmental input.
- Monitor budget utilization and enforce cost control measures against approved plans.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, finalizing reports and resolving financial discrepancies.
- Supervise accounts payable, receivable, and cash management processes for timely transactions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel for data analysis.
- Deep knowledge of IFRS, VAT regulations, and local Kuwaiti tax requirements.
- Strong analytical abilities to identify variances and generate actionable financial insights.
- Excellent communication skills to present reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and adherence to compliance protocols in financial transactions.
