About the Role

Gulf Bank in Kuwait seeks an Assistant Manager to lead financial planning, reporting, and analysis initiatives. This role involves supporting strategic decision-making through accurate financial modeling, performance metrics, and compliance reporting. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow trends.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, ensuring compliance with Gulf Bank’s internal policies and external regulations.
  • Analyze financial data to identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
  • Oversee budget creation and monitoring, aligning departmental spending with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with accounting, operations, and risk management teams to ensure data integrity.
  • Generate ad-hoc financial analyses to support executive decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) in all reporting activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning, reporting, or analysis roles, preferably in a banking or corporate environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and financial modeling techniques.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial software tools.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and audit requirements in the Gulf region.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and present actionable insights.
  • Effective communication skills to convey financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
