About the Role
We are seeking passionate and skilled bakery and pastry professionals to join our growing culinary team in Kuwait. Multiple positions are available including Head Pastry Chef, Pastry Chef for café operations, Assistant Pastry Chef for startup environments, and specialized bakers focusing on bread and sourdough production. These roles offer strong career potential within a dynamic food service environment. Candidates will have the opportunity to work with premium ingredients and develop creative dessert presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pastry and chocolate section operations including production planning and team supervision
- Prepare and create premium desserts, cakes, cookies, brownies, and assorted pastries
- Develop new recipes and contribute to menu creation while maintaining quality standards
- Manage inventory, costing, and ingredient procurement for daily production targets
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in pastry techniques and food safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards throughout all operations
- Design luxury showpieces and decorative presentations for special events and displays
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience in bakery and pastry operations
- Strong knowledge and expertise in confectionery, desserts, and bread production
- Proven experience with sourdough, baguettes, and artisanal bread making techniques
- Creative approach to recipe development with attention to detail and presentation
- Solid understanding of kitchen operations, inventory management, and food safety
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining quality standards
- Team player mentality with strong communication and leadership capabilities
